Pillow Dry cleaning: Follow The Steps For Best Results!

Do you think that a pillowcase will protect your pillow from germs and stains? It’s a total misconception. Pillows easily trap the dead skin and also become house to bed bugs. If not cleaned on regular basis, pillows may host creepy bacteria. Don’t get scared; you can easily tackle this issue and keep the insects away from your pillows. Here is the guide to follow!
See The Instructions
Before washing your pillows, better to see the instructions. Don’t do anything that is not allowed in the instructions.

Follow The Recommended Washing Method
If you see that “dry clean only” is mentioned in the instructions, then do that only. Don’t wash it to save money because it may rip the foam into pieces. Contact drycleaners to get the job done.
If the instructions allow washing the pillow, do so in separate. Keep the mode at “Delicate”; it will help in maintaining the shape.
Washing powder should be avoided to keep the pillow fillings safe. Gentle soap is the better option. After washing, rinse the pillow for complete wash out. After rinsing thoroughly, do spinning again and again to remove water from the pillow.
If you want to perform washing by hand, then use warm water having mild liquid soap and bleach drops. Cover the tub after dipping the pillow into water. After leaving it for an hour, squeeze the pillow to remove any dirt and rinse for 15 minutes. To remove excess water, place the pillow on a flat surface.

The Drying Procedure
Drying is important to remove any water traces whether you are performing the hand wash or machine wash. Avoid putting any other items while drying because pillows need more space. Pillows will need few cycles of spinning to get completely dried off water. Apply few punches to get the pillows back in shape. Leave them in an airy room for a whole day because moisture can become a source to get the mould growth back.
After applying the above mentioned pillow dry cleaning procedure, you are ready to use your pillows in fresh condition. Do you have any queries or suggestions to clean the pillows? Share in the comments below!
